Going to WordCamp Fayetteville

May 24, 2010 Stephanie Leary 3 Comments

Thanks to a last-minute change of plans, I’ll be at WordCamp Fayetteville this weekend! I’m excited — it’ll be my first WordCamp, and I’ll get to hang out with several friends from the midwest HighEdWeb crowd. I’m looking forward to spending a little time in Arkansas before I go back in July to do my regional HighEdWeb keynote. I haven’t been there since I was about nine, and I remember that it was pretty.

If you’re going to the WordCamp, come say hi! I look like this, and will probably be found in the vicinity of Shelley Keith, my wonderful technical reviewer.

Stephanie, I was at wcfay and I just realized that I missed you! I was looking through the networking list this morning and recognized your name from the time I’ve spent here on your site. (Now that I’m thinking about it I bet that was you sitting in the back on your iPad during Mitch’s presentation, no?) Maybe another time.

Aw, I’m sorry we didn’t get to talk! Yes, that was me with the iPad. I’ll be back in Little Rock at the end of July for the Arkansas regional HighEdWeb conference, if you’re into that sort of thing!

I’m actually not involved in any higher ed projects so I probably won’t be around for that but I’ll look forward to connecting with you another time.

This is a book for professional web designers and developers who already know HTML and CSS, and want to learn to build sites with WordPress. The second half of the book is devoted to development: learning to build WordPress themes and plugins.

This is the second, much-revised and updated edition of Beginning WordPress 3, with a more accurate title. Everything’s been updated for WordPress 3.6.
