Beginning WordPress 3 is now available in Kindle format! And it’s 56% off at the moment. Enjoy! And thanks for your patience. Apress has had a PDF ebook available since the book was published in late June, but since it was available only through their site, it was somewhat hard to find. Many people assumed there was no ebook edition, since they didn’t see a Kindle version pop up in Amazon’s search. My editors told me that they were working on making books available in Kindle and iBook formats, but they weren’t sure when… and in fact, I stumbled across this yesterday while I was hunting for the link to my author page for another reason entirely.
In other news, I have a few upcoming events to tell you about!
First, I’m speaking at the WordPress Developer and Technical User Group in Dallas/Fort Worth on November 18. They’re doing a panel on WordPress in the workplace, and I’ll be talking about how I’ve set up WordPress within the Texas A&M University network to manage about a dozen departmental sites in a single network installation.
On December 4, I’ll be at WordCamp Austin. I’m speaking on importing content (especially using my HTML Import plugin) and migrating single-site installations into multi-site networks.
I’ll be back in Dallas on February 26 for a D/FW WordPress Meetup, but we’re still figuring out what the topic will be.
And, finally, my webinar for HigherEdExperts has been rescheduled for March 24 as part of a three-day WordPress University event.
