Professional self-pity

(But is that self-pity for one’s profession, or better-than-amateur self-pity…?)

The Designers Inhouse mailing list has a great home page with quotes from members about what it’s like to be us. On Friday there was a call for new quotes, and I was bored avoiding work… anyway, they’ve put them all up, and if you refresh the home page for a while you’ll get some really good ones (along with the six or eight I submitted).

My favorite: “You’re the Designer and I trust your judgement, but that’s not how I visualized it when I did it…”
