More Serenity thoughts

Did I mention that the film is bloody fantastic?

Don’t go to any of the Firefly/Serenity fan sites today. They are absolutely crawling with spoilers, and I’m talking BIG, HONKING SPOILERS right in the subject lines. This is a movie you want to see unspoiled. Please. There’s an excellent spoiler-free review over here.

Things I’d forgotten…

The Universal execs stood in the aisles and watched the entire movie. Not sure if they simply didn’t have any folding chairs or if they were as engrossed as we were, but it was kind of cool.

“TURN! TURN ASIDE NOW!” — Sancho, standing in line for Serenity and finding himself just outside the theater for the remake of The Amityville Horror.

People wearing Jayne hats aren’t afraid of anything.

One of the actors present (I forget which) uttered the word “trilogy.” Read into this what you will.

One girl showed up with a “Special Hell” sign that she held up over heads of the poor schmucks who ended up in the front row.
