Anyone else find it fishy that the engineer in charge of security at the Russian Cosmodrome died of a heart attack after the roof collapsed and killed eight workers? Maybe I’m too damn cynical, but it’s strikingly like the ending to Anne McCaffrey’s Killashandra, a book about a very Communist planet that gets overthrown by the good ol’ capitalists. “Four Elders suffered fatal heart attacks,” we’re told in a wrap-up at the end, when everything’s gone wrong and those ruling Elders are about to be hauled up on charges before the galactic court.
