A brief observation

March 16, 2008 Stephanie Leary 4 Comments

I’m vaguely dissatisfied with everything I’m reading. This probably means I should be writing instead.

In other news, spring cleaning has taken place. Closets have been cleaned out. Laundry has been accomplished. And now I am sneezy.

Have you read Robin Hobb’s Farseer trilogy? It’s the Assassin books. My brother has been after me for months to read it and I finally started. Finished the first and have started the second and I have to say it’s fantastic.

I read those in college, I think. Loved them, and the Ship books, but gave up after the Fool trilogy.

Make sure you have the third one handy when you finish the second. Cliffhanger from hell.

That happens to me sometimes. I typically find that if I quit cold turkey, I suffer withdrawal pains within a few days. Sometimes it takes longer, but when I give in to the cravings, reading is so much fun again.

our local bookstore did a 29% off sale on Leap day. I picked up all 3 at that time. Half way through the second one now.

The second half of the book is devoted to development: learning to build WordPress themes and plugins.

This is the second, much-revised and updated edition of Beginning WordPress 3, with a more accurate title. Everything’s been updated for WordPress 3.6.
