An open letter to English-language writers

The word you are looking for is cachet.

This is not the same word as cache, and writing it as caché does not make it so.

Please quit substituting the latter for the former.

Nolove,
The English major who can spell at least those French words and phrases that have become commonplace, even if she does have to look them up sometimes (and if she can be arsed to do it, so can you)
