Somebody smack me the next time I say, “I don’t write short stories.” I’ve been cleaning out some files today, and I have four completed drafts, four in progress, and over a dozen half-baked ideas.
Clearly I do write short stories. I just don’t finish them, or do anything with them when they’re done.
Must do something about that.
Of the finished drafts, three are flash pieces that probably aren’t very marketable (or even very good, really, although I’m still fond of one), and one isn’t even typed yet. I could at least transcribe it, and maybe work on revisions once the novel’s done.
